@mgcarley there is any chance to start your service in chennai within 1 year?

I think that's already in our FAQ somewhere. Basically 4 of the major centers will start nearly straight after Mumbai and Pune, one of those being Chennai. Others being Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi-NCR.

2 week before i take Rs.1099 plan (4Mb,12Gb FUP).now airtel removed this plan .at now Rs.899,1399,1799 plans only.

The new plans updated on their websites are only for new customers or for those customers who migrate from their existing plans to those new plans. So the FUP given on the new plans will be applicable. For old/existing customers the old FUPs will remain and the speed upon exceeding the FUP limit would be reduced to what they currently have (before the upgrade) and not 256kbps. This was confirmed by a Supervisor at Airtel CC today, just a few hrs back.

Unlimited? do they know what that means? Hate these false advertising. nothing worse then testing intelligence of its customers.

Well, technically its still an unlimited plan coz they do not charge you for downloading extra after a specified limit. After u've finished ur FUP limit, they are just reducing your speeds...and how !! But you can continue to download another 20 GB at lower speeds. So they call it an unlimited plan.Basically a marketing gimmick to rip off airtel customers....

How much would a 4MBPS with 100GB limit and then down to either 2 or 1MBPS cost?

why is 899 column has 6gb shown and others as unlimited? why cant they just add 20gb or whatever the orginal speed limit download there. Airtel have specialty in false advertising just look at their Dth service.
