If you had changed plan in mid of the month, the plan rental would be shown as the average of the two plans in the month.

What upload speeds are people on Airtel's 8/16 Mbps plans getting at Mumbai? The sales guy tells me its a 1:4 ratio whereas customer care tells it is 512 kbps (which I find ridiculous).

ADSL does not support much upload speeds. The best I get on Airtel at my end is 0.8mbps on speedtest servers. Real world speeds are awful. And packet loss begins immediately as I start uploading something resulting in poor internet experience. Hard to say if it's an Airtel thing or a ADSL thing or my hardware is a mess.

Airtel's ADSL upload is limited to max 1 Mbps, even if it weren't, ADSL 2+ using annex M can support a theoretical max of ~3Mbps. On VDSL aka V-Fiber, airtel provides max 5Mbps for the 40Mbps plan. Only on FTTH they provide higher uploads.

for 40mbps plan 5 mbps+
