Hi,
about 1 week ago or more I started noticing higher latency than usual in my games so after waiting a day thinking it might be something random, I then noticed that usually sites pick my internet address as Pune (i reside in Jalna, MH), are now showing nagpur, so I suspected that the routing was changed, and ofc I am getting 50 ping to Mumbai, and 20 to Nagpur. This would have been serviceable for a while but the latency is incosistent, keep jumping to 150-200, and the speeds are really bad as well, I suspect their whatever infra is really getting loaded.

I mailed the nodal officer about this after their local tech came and told me he doesn't know what latency is, and his senior told me they aren't instructed to check latency and company only cares about speed, which is ofc incosistent and was working fine when they visited. The reply in email was that
"The exchange that serves Maharashtra location, is temporarily not functional. Our team is co-ordinating with the concerned authorities to resolve this issue.
The same is expected to be resolved by 30/4/2025 7:53:00 PM."
that date, now has passed and I am not sure how long its gonna take, what should be my recourse here?

Heres how it looks like usually when speeds are bad as well

Here's a tracert to google

If they are aware of exchange/gateway problems, they will fix it whenever. I doubt there is anything we could do to make it faster. If they are unaware/unwilling to acknowledge, then that's a totally different story. However, the speeds in that screenshot are atrocious, and warrant an investigation by their 'technical' team, if it happens frequent enough. It doesn't matter if the speeds are ok when the technicians visit. You have a speedtest.net history that shows inconsistent speeds. You can use it as proof for escalation, if it is needed.

I wouldn't be surprised. Facing lots of issues with disconnections in the past few days; today my fiber and 5G are both down here in North Mumbai. Jio users also facing issues. Probably the people digging up the roads are hitting their fiber lines

Personally I faced this issue mention in the thread Speed test location is not from my location

I tried many technician and noc guys, but they denied such issue to fix.

Solution: Later I report about fix my VOiP means I told them my landline is not working and once they fixed voip, this issue gone as well. And since last six months no issue with ping or anything.
