Airtel is a huge PITA btw taking 3 days for WAN Bridge. Just give us a straight Fiber mfs.

Story till now. G7 didnt work and took the Bridge mode suggestions which make sense and leaving that on Nokia.
I have a G3eu1v1 arriving btw.
So, Sun I was given contact of my Districts Team Lead by tech.
He's like no sweat we get it on bridge.
Mon I leave him a message with details. No reply.
Progress call in eve, no reply.
Tue, I open up a complaint for record.
A tech comes and NOC insults him for nothing.
Tech resets my router cos his feelings told him to.
All PPPoE and IPoE config is wiped.
NOC puts the Network-Lan4 on bridge.
I can Change Network-Lan-Bridge myself?
I saw some screenshots here with WAN-IPoE-Bridge-PortBinding-Lan4
Told him isnt it supposed to be like that?
He says that is "Invisible" now you cant see it.
I am like thats bullshit. Before the reset I could see IPoE profile in wan. Offcourse the internet didnt work after reset.
Only PPPoE and Voip profile and PPPoE username said newuser not my username.
That Tech goes. Another comes. Same story.
Gets insulted by NOC for something and NOCs like come back later I aint got time for this.
2 calls that day, Team Lead and his right hand.
Both ignored.
Wed, nothing, one call in eve, ignored.
I told em screw this bridge bs get it working again.
Thur, nothing. Spoke to a senior at airtel and he talked to team lead who said hed get it done today but nothing yet.
3-4 texts in these 4 days on whatsapp, ignored.
No courtesy of a simple "Got it", "Somethings not right give us x time we're on it" by this Team Lead.
Imagine getting ghosted by some 6lpa chomu.
My local Airtel chaps and those NOCs are actually [redacted].
Meanwhile the marketing interns yapping on Twitter.
Gave em till tomorrow EOD, to get their shit together.
Hows BSNL? They have a huge office building here.
250pm, paid annually for Static IP is pretty nice.
Applied for a connection today.
Symmetric DL/UL? Decent Ping?
Jio(1Gbps Biz), Excitel dont offer static ip afaik.

Things will work out with G3 ONU. It’s clear that the NOC person is incompetent and doesn’t know his job. That is how to put their gateway in bridge mode. That’s why he keeps on insulting the technicians who visit your place.
But trust me, Jio is even worse and non flexible.

Nokia has screwed configs so it doesnt work.
With a G3 when I scan Vlan and put Static IP details it will work and pull details from backend. Did I get it right?
G3 will arrive by tomorrow most prob.
Can't believe though, tEaM lEaD couldn't in 2 working days push a config through.
Man I hope all these crap jobs get automated even sooner and this mediocrity gets wiped.
3 days unpaid downtime when they could lay bricks instead.
Definitely not going with Jio.
But seriously considering BSNL.
Ordered the SC Coupler and APC UPC Connector as well.

Once you have been assigned a static IP, you can use both PPPoE for publicly routed dynamic IPv4 or manually enter your Static IP in the router under IPoE. The PPPoE username and password is given by the engineer who visits your premises during installation (If you ask him that time) but you can still get it from customer care. But There are no special settings for IPoE. Just visit whatismyip.com or speedtest.net and reboot your router 2-3 times. If the IP remains same, then that is your static IP which you can use for IPoE (But make sure if you have REALLY been assigned a static IP.)
Eg. The public IPv4 assigned to you is 106.111.222.99
Then subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0
Gateway is 106.111.222.1
DNS1: 1.1.1.1
DNS2: 1.0.0.1
TP-Link XZ000-G3 is just a bridge ONU by default. Change GPON SN as per the format, Enter the discovered VLAN and all other login pppoe or ipoe need to be done in your router. Not in ONU.

Got it @akshay71 . The PPPoE deets for Airtel is my DSL id and Password is my Account number if I am not wrong.
What I was asking was my assigned Static IP details are in their database right connected to my account?
The reason my internet is not working via Nokia is cos they screwed up its configs.
So connecting the G3 with my TP-Link, I can dial in my IPoE and it would work .. since those details are hardwired to my account, irrelevant of config in Nokia?
Asking if I get my G3 before they fix my Nokia.
Airtel support contacted me saying it would take till eve max since Team Lead says "There is some issue with my Static IP and its a problem from backend".
