Same here ..they didn't give me any timeframes but was told that the upgradation is in process and i should keep an eye on the Airtel announcements.

upload speed = download speed is available only on ftth
v-fiber is nothing but re-branded VDSL2 on traditional copper lines

In chennai they are just selling the VDSL modems upfront. It seems that the upgradation will take more than 2 months

They are not selling it, they are giving it free (the executives' words not mine), only 1000 rupees for installation sarr

airtel provide free unlimited services. you just pay for the privilege.
