Well, I am still cautious. I am not too sure if they will give 40 mbps immediately. Hence I will confirm & once they install, will check & let know...

I got a call from service engineer who said he will increase to 16 mbps.. he said only in future 40 mbps... I said no thanks.. I intend to complain to Airtel

lol, there is no proper communication or information between different teams.

That's for sure. Airtel sales rep said my connection is eligible for 40 Mbps upgrade, I agreed, and a few days later local service engineer called and informed only 8 Mbps is the maximum feasible while I was already enjoying 16 Mbps for many months. I've changed my plan to a basic one and switched to Cherrinet for now.

I had the opposite experience, CC said only 4 Mbps is possible, Engineer said 40 Mbps is possible on VDSL. Took me two months and finally threatening disconnection to get upgraded to 16 Mbps (on ADSL). Now Airtel telling me that they are upgrading me to V- fiber.

They keep on calling me to sell their VDSL modem..but the 40 mbps speed upgrade is expected only after 2 months. I strictly told them NO.

Can we buy the VDSL modem in the market that supports AIRTEL?
