777vr1 might work for you if you live near exchange otherwise it's useless .
My link was dropping too and i was only getting 7-8 mbps speed with 777vr1.
they replaced 777vr1 with another 777vr1 and still same headache.
but when they replaced it with Huawei ...no link drop ...and speed increased to the promised 16 Mbps.

@Adidam I live 1600+ meters from exchange ,as told by Airtel executive .I am on 2099 Rs plan at present which gives 100 Mbps speed with
275 Gb data but max feasible in our area is only 16 Mbps.I am on VDSL.

Hi,

Just got a new connection of V-Fiber and for the last 4 days - it has been perfect. Getting around 35 mbps download speed constantly. Upload is hardly 5-6 mbps but it doesnt matter to me. (I reside in Lokhandwala - Mumbai)

They gave me the router 777VR1 - so far its been fine but it took some figuring to get my Netgear repeater going with this but it finally worked.

What I am unable to figure out is if we can enable a guest network wherein I will reduce the speed offered in that.

If not possible do you think I can just go ahead and buy my own VDSL router so that I can get these features?

I am waiting for the airtel tech to come and he said he will give a proper auggestion. Luckily the area tech of airtel we have here is a fantastic guy and always goes out of his way to help sort issues.

Will let the forum know - what was the solution he offered.

ISP - Airtel
Plan - 16mbps 365gb (310gb from plan) (55gb MyHome) (Rs.3300 including tax)
City - Jaipur

I have the same disconnection and speed drop issues on Airel vfiber.
I got this connection on 9th April 2017 it worked fine for about 3 days. I registered a complaint on 13th April 2017, they were just stalling for 13 days I guess.. the.technician didn't visit despite me calling everyday until 26th April. On 26th the technician visited and updated the firmware on my Beetel 777VR1. It has been kinda stable since then.. I only disconnected like twice since he updated the firmware. The technician did ask me to update the firmware everytime the link dropped. I asked for a Huawei when they provided me with this shitty modem.. but they were like its not available rightnow and stuff. Hope they get a permanent fix for this issue.. it has been really annoying to get dc'd in between crucial moments while I play online games.

I got my complaint reopened on 27th April (Today) not quite sure till when they will get a permanent fix for this issue..
Feels like I will have to end up buying a new VDSL modem and router.
They are quite expensive. :pensive:
