Hello Prakash,
Could you please tell me it is indeed from Asianet. It looks like you are using some other connection and the Asianet Franchisee is acting as a re seller or some JV. Could you please send me more details through PM.
1) Speedtest.net result
2) A tracert and ping to google.com
3) A contact number or email id of the local franchise.
4) The available plans and their monthly cost.
I believe FTTH connections through Asianet Franchise are given with different plans which are not shown in their websites. This is a *pre-paid internet* service. No post paid options available with franchisee.
Yes, this is from Asianet and I've to login to Asianet web interface to enable connection. Often you're web browser redirected to open the login web page where you've to enter username and password (given). There's a private IP, subnet
mask and gateway that needs to be configured on your
router or PC to enable the connection (OFC cable reaches till your desktop, connected to a ONU. output through RJ-45).
I'm using Rs900 for 20GB @ 4mbps plan. there is a Rs898 plan that gives 2mbps till 20GB and 512Kbps afterwards. Initial cost is a little high. Rs 5000 for ONU (optical network unit) and connection charges. Rs900 as pre-paid tariff.
I don't want to reveal the franchisee details. Some Asianet franchisee's gives FTTH connections and it is available in many areas of Ernakulam district. I was also offered FTTH connection from Asianet directly (their tariffs may be different?).
OT: I wonder whether you're some khufia agent from Asianet asking so much informations
