Beam cable POP box

One of my friends wanted a connection from Beam Cable. Problem is: There are no open ports available near his area. The Beam Cable representative told him that they have to install a POP box at his building. The box will draw power from the main source. The power drawn will cost him 20-30 INR. Now, the building owner being a miser isn't ready to provide that, he instead asked for power to be drawn from my friend's flat. That was no biggie for him. But a quick web search by me revealed this:

On re-checking with the representative he said the box is installed for free (no amount paid by Beam to anyone) and the power consumption is compensated. The amount this time increased to 50 INR. So basically either my friend or the building owner will be compensated 50 INR monthly for this.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Its Called ONT(optical network Terminal) box not POP or Hub or whatever.Whoever is providing the power to the ONT they would get compensation or a discount in the bill. I had box in my previous apartment and i used to get 30 Bucks Extra on my current bill. In your case, No need to pay anything to owner as he is not providing power.

it's almost cost 30-100 Rupees depending on the usage, they discount or pay bill when if 5+ports out of 8 filled.
my bad i have no idea representative said 10 rupees extra on electricity bill, technician said 25-30 rupees, my friend said 50-100 rupees who works with beam fibre.
by the my you broad plan 6 mbps 4 months cost 2,000/- fup 50gb limit, after fup 1 mbps.
previous beam 1 mbps monthly 461 charges, 512kbps after fup.
