I have tried both, AVG is no doubt good at catching virus but its lil annoying, everytime it catches a virus it will prompt u for the needful, it can't take a decision of its own

Kaspersky is good to me, I am using kaspersky as well as nod32 (which consumes less ram)

u have installed all 3?

Well Nod32 has best Heuristic Detection technology . & Kaspersky has excellent scan engine best in world " perfect antivirus is a dream " one can have NOD32 as Realtime scanner and KAV as Ondemand scanner. Nod32 will miss many trojans & back doors.....kaspersky will not ,it will clean your system which nod can not .

f-port is very less on resources .....much less then nod32 ...

AVG  read around buddy before u say /.......... Avg 47 percent detection rate

my rating is

Kaspersky Anti-virus, Personal / Pro [ best ]
F-Secure Anti-virus, *
Eset NOD32 Anti-virus, Version 2.51.19
PandaSoftware Anti-virus, Titanium
Dr.Web Anti-virus

* uses virus signature from kaspersky

Read these *https://www.virusbtn.com

etc etc don't believe top ten review

I just switched from Norton to Kaspersky.........Its outstanding........believe me Nothing can pass thru Kaspersky.....It has an awesome 99% detection rate!!!!!But install it only if u have a 256MB+ RAM........512MB would be better.both Kaspersky & Norton use up lotta RAM.......Symantec Corporate is lite though!!!!!!!but Kaspersky Rulez... :)

so 99% detection rate means nothing can pass through? your maths concept seems flawed.

Kaspersky labs has changed the old engine (KAVMM) to KAVSVC in Personal Pro 5.0.383 so now it counsumes less resources 25-26 mb RAM....... I am sure that kaspersky uses less resources then Norton .......Norton is a pig :P
Nod32 detected the worms Heuristicly without any need of update

Code:

Well maybe on overall detection at the moment KAV is better but that dosent mean that KAV will stop everything

that was what my point was. believing in 1 particular software in such a ever changing time is to show foolishness.
