hey chicmagnet....whats new in norton 2006? compared to 2005..best antivirus is Norton internet security 2005 with 512 MB Ram.

is there any reason for so much laughter?? to use norton internet security u need 512 mb ram!i think u guys understand that much! and NIS 2005 sucks at 256 or less ram. then in that case use avg or nod32...

guys try NOD32 antivirus..its better then all & consumes less of ram....just 12 to 15 mb of RAM...dont trust me go get NOD32...its the perfect one.

If u want minimal performance loss and great protection(better than norton according to reviews) and very fast scans (scanned 20GB in 12min) get NOD32. Finally got fed up of norton crippling my machine and got rid of it. On my comp NOD32 never takes up more than 15-20MB of ram (can go down to 2MB even sometimes) and new definitions are available more than once a day even at times.
But if u have the latest hardware go for Kaspersky. It currently offers the best protection but be prepared for longer scan times.

kaspersky is the best av around if u want good security ( it starts detecting new troj/vir just after few hours its released ) . Nod32 is second best ( first if u consider performance) .of yeh and norton suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx . go to any review site and u will come to know

for me it's zone alarm security suitethough mcafee anti-virus is also good but it has it's own probs. else it's the greatest anti-virus software(v10)

hi guys please share u expriance abt which antivirus is best and how many antivirus program did u use and how often u change uor antivirus program.

abt me i change antivirus program(Trials) once a week. so i hav enough expriance to share which antivirus program is best acording behavior, speed, interface & user friendlyness.


THE ONE : Kaspersky.

5 STAR: Panda, Mcafee & Nod32.

4 STAR: Avast Pro, AVG, G-Data, F-Secure, SOPHOS.

3 STAR: ZoneAlarm Antivirus, PC-Cillin, F-Prot, Norton, Comodo & Norman.

2 STAR: ClamWin & Microworld Antivirus.

1 STAR: Dr.Web & RAV.

So what is uor opinion.

mcafee in 5 star pc-cillin should be there and mcafee should be in 3 star....Kaspersky is good but i use NOD32 for its high detection rates and lower system resource usage
