Best value for money smartphone deal under Rs. 7000?

So, my former ciggie supplier is looking to upgrade to a touchscreen smartphone. His budget is Rs. 7k MAX. He would prefer something around 6k though his top limit is 7k.
What options can I suggest him? :redface:

I am guessing more important element here would be how responsive is the touchscreen. But then it is hard to believe the reviews online.

I would avoid those Chinese/local phones at all costs. While travelling in a cab a while ago, an individual sitting next to me was using a XOLO touchscreen phone (not sure of the model). It would register touches after at least 3 long seconds. I was simply horrified. I would rather go for something from the Asha series or lower end Galaxy.

I thought about selling him my Nexus for 7K. But then I am not sure about the battery life. No clue if the battery itself has gone bad or is it because of Android 4.3.

And whenever and to whoever you sell it, if you don't give the dock to him/her then please contact me for a deal!

No. I was gonna buy the Nexus 5 as I felt Motorola would be making it. Then was interested in the Moto X, but that phone failed to impress me. Now waiting for Nexus 6 and hoping it's Motorola. Or even Sony would do. I know it's gonna be a long wait, but it's fine as I hardly play games on my phone so won't be pissed off by the GNex. And on-the-whole the GNex still performs very well IMO, only the battery life bothers me, nothing else.

So your theory is based on seeing ONE phone and maybe never having used one yourself?
If that's the case, I've seen dozens of HTC Wildfires and LG P500s with a similar issue.
I wonder why Intel and Nvidia decided to partner up with a local Chinese company? :question:

btw Xolo's only X series have Intel, Q series have mediatek ! Lava has been using a crappy marketing trick to make it all mixed under xolo !
