Here is the procedure for updating plan if they tell such plan is not available:

Visit BSNL Selfcare portal (selfcare.xxx.bsnl.co.in). In the service request section, select plan change option and manually write the plan name. Give detailed description along with plan link from BSNL website. Then tweet @BSNLCorporate and to your state BSNL handle along with the plan change reference number. They will definitely change plan. No need to visit exchange and all.

Few friends did this today. All got call from BSNL District HQ and City HQ within few hours of tweeting. Confirmed their plan change request and action was taken immediately.

I have submitted Plan change application on 10/09/2016, but it is not yet been activated. So what to do besides approaching to the exchange???
This plan is also not been listed on the selfcare site of bsnl.

Sai can you please tell me how to close an existing service request, as i had a change of plan service request raised on 18/10/2014 which is still open now. This open request is denying me to create a new change of plan request.

You need to speak with BSNL support. Tweet them. They will take care of it.

The plan has been updated. I checked in the morning but there was no change. So, had gone to the BSNL Office and they told me, its been updated. Came back home to check again and it has indeed been updated. Getting download speed about 200 kBps.

Selfcare portal shows the plan you are on... Are you able to login?
