Is this speed upgrade real?
I hate BSNL lines and it is completely unstable but I had reduced my plan to the basic combo plan of 675+ taxes for the last few months since I took jio.. if they make it 1 mbps then it is a very good deal for less than Rs.800 pm..
If only BSNL lines were good.. I still have heavy noise on the phone and I paid the lineman money to fix it less than a week ago (phone line was completely dead .. so, I complained otherwise I had not even complained since the last few months since I took Jio as I was not using BSNL) .. in the same night after a few hours after the lineman fixed the lines, the line noises came back again and the DSL became unstable.. if only BSNL could fix their lines .. after using Jio more more than 2 months I would say connection quality of BSNL is not at all bad for the speeds offered .. even 40-50 Mbps speeds were not great of Jio for browsing .. only good for downloading

yes the same thing have to call the line man 5-6 times a month .. and god save after a heavy rain . net gets disconnected for 4-5 days. bsnl speed is good . even the price . what suck is there wires , exchanges , and employees who dnt give a damn .they loose customers just because of these reasons (including me ) @Zaman2011

@Prateek.jsr They have not yet lost me as a customer. I have been a loyal BSNL customer for 8 years but I am super irritated with both their terrible lines, pathetic customer support (where every time I need to bribe the lineman) and frequent line problems. If they can improve their service, I will remain a customer. As of now, I would probably still remain with BSNL till I find something better.
@meetdilip I had downgraded to the basic 512 kbps connection for the last few months since I took Jio. I connected to the BSNL line and tried a speed test but it is only showing 0.50 Mpbs for me. So, the new speeds are not effective for me it seems. I am still on the old FUP speeds. Have the new speeds been effective for anyone on the forum?'
BTW went to my BSNL broadband for the last half an hour or so test out etc... the DSL restarted at least 3-4 times.. going back to Jio again.. if only BSNL could keep some decent services and lines .. I was on their 3400 rs. plan (including taxes) till a few months ago.. but the lines were terrible even then.. in fact, it was down for a whole month in between.. so, no amount of plans can bring happy customers till they do not improve the lines and services I suppose.. meh

It will be pre FUP but my speed going to be 4mbps. Currently it is 2mbps.
