Yes the above screenshot is of my modem type...and i searched everywhere for port forwarding there is no guide for this modemor is there any other way to increase my speed in torrents...:wall::wall::wall::(

I think they're giving these modems only in bangalore...my old 502T did the job pretty well...there has to be some software to forward ports.

I anticipated it ! please go through the thread. select your D-Link model from leftside bottom side menu.. ( what is your model ?)

Double Portforwarding-modem and router(edited :D) - Tech Support Guy Forums

Here's a link to the user's manual for that modem: http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/triband/ht...srguide1.0.pdf

I'd personally consider setting the modem in bridge mode to eliminate it's routing function, then you can do all the port forwarding in the Netgear. Those instructions start on page 19 of the manual. The other option is the configuration I described previously for a secondary router and using the modem/router to do the port forwarding.

Finally, here's a guide for most applications for port forwarding for your modem/router if you decide to go the route of my secondary router configuration: http://portforward.com/english/route...00R2Uindex.htm

If you think experts are expensive, wait until you see what amateurs cost you!

Also should i delete the vci/vpi settings for the "pppoe_0_35_1" in the ut300r2u modem?
NO NO most important Entry.
Modem is UTstar : Router is D-Link trying to use it for PF only now .
What ever you do make/take a copy of present settings of UTstar in a notebook , so that you don't loose Internet connection
Even with Utstar in "DialUp" "Bridged" mode select DMZ check your torrents , or whatever special programs you need.
Get familiar with the operation/s first.
more ====>>>> later.

If you choose the 4port with wifi, you get WA3002G4 modem/router in Bangalore. that does have an option for port forwarding. Or you have to put in DMZ mode.
