Also, if I get a static ip, then can i ask them specifically the 117.201.xxx gateway ?

BTW, can you guys on bsnl post a pingtest to this server -109.230.239.232 I'm getting request timed out. That is a game server btw.

1. Not all servers respond to ICMP pings. The IP you gave above doesn't respond.
2. You can't ask for a specific gateway for static IP. I've asked about this earlier and they say it's allocated on an "availability" basis. Good luck getting it.
3. Don't forget, a good gateway today may not be a good gateway tomorrow. At least today you have an option/choice to reconnect. If after getting your own static IP, you can't do much about it.

I didn't understand what you mean. That is a IP of a server that i regularly game on and i wanna like to connect to it but i cannot. Can you give me a solution? Earlied i used to play without any problems, this has started from last week.

Then are you sure that server is running and available for your friends/others? It's either not responding because it's not meant to, or it's simply not online anymore.

The server is online 24/7 but I don't have any friends that play the game with me. Few of them are there but not from bsnl/India.
I just wanna know that whether the problem is on my side or is it a issue with bsnl.
Also on doing a trace route to the same server, i found out that it goes till the data center in the Germany (server is located in Germany) and then there's request timed out.
Is there any solution to this? There are around 5 servers hosted on the same ip and I really wanna play on them

If you're able to trace until the DC, then the connectivity to that server is fine. Beyond that, there's nothing BSNL can do.
You really cannot just ping an IP and decide if the server behind it is running or not. I suppose the game you play is Battlefield Bad Company 2? There are only two servers active on that IP (out of 6 other inactive ones) :
[DU4] #N3 | Rush Top Maps | Fast Respawn (port 19630)
[DU4] #N7 | 24/7 Dogfight | Airplane Mod (port 19640)
Apart from the above, there was 1 Teamspeak3 server, 1 Minecraft server and 1 DayZ Mod server active previously. All of these are dead with the exceptions of the above two.
Use your ingame tracker to ping them directly (either on the game list or on your favorite list, if you have one).

Used the in game thing but it shows 999 ping (guess it's server not reachable).
If the problem is on their(server) side, then no one should be able to connect to those serves na? But those servers are nearly full with many people playing on them.
