Changing WiFi Channel on Nokia G-2425G

I'm trying to use my TP-Link router in bridge mode with GPON Nokia G-2425. This is working well with setting WiFi Channel number in TPLink router same as that in Nokia.
But the issue is sometimes after restart of Nokia router, it changes the WiFi Channel number. I've to again manually adjust the channel number in TPLink.
When I tried to set this in Nokia under Network--> Wireless (2.4 GHz), I can change all settings but Channel number.
Any suggestions of fixing this?

It works for 2.4G channel but not with 5G channel for me it gives error in 5G channel (error set LanWlanObject:5)
The enabling of the field for modification is working but when I try to save the config I get error "set LANWlanObject:1"
This is done by Airtel :devilish:, I don't understand why modem wants to restrict which channel we want to use. :(

I have a Huawei HG8145V5 Router which has the same issue ever since I optimized my WiFi through Airtel Xstream Fiber App and it is not moving from Channel 149 on 5Ghz Band and TP-Link RE650 repeater has stopped recognizing 5Ghz connection from the router.

I tried the workaround suggested by horz but the settings don't get saved and it returns back to automatic, is there any other Wi-Fi repeater that works on the three-digit channel?

I purchased a Netgear X6 EX7700 extender today, it solved my issue of connecting on Airtel Broadband Xfiber on 5Ghz band, channel 149, it's an expensive solution to replace TP-Link RE650 WiFi Extender but worth the price because I am observing no drop in the 5Ghz download and upload speeds (280-290mbps), this extender is a hybrid mesh device which does not require you to connect an additional mesh router to the base airtel router device and then extended network via satellite mesh device.
