Trying it on my Nexus S which was on Stock 4.1.x:

I'm however stuck on the above since last 2 hours, I unplugged the phone once to see if everything was working, and it instantly gave me no connection to the phone warning, i plugged it right back in and it restarted. I guess it is very slow in whatever it is doing.

I'm on win8, so it automatically loaded the NexS drivers properly, my phone was already OEM unlocked.

Bhai don't try stunts. you'll loose your head if you haven't done this stuff. before you do anything backup using titanium or other non root app. nexus guys are better off as they can easily flash a factory image. whatever you do backup.

People have mentioned this 'can't talk to your phone' in the reviews of the app. May be the app has a glitch. the USB drivers seem to be fine here

'We couldn't talk to your phone'
[*]Disable your anti-virus. No, really, disable your anti-virus. It interferes with the tools we use to write your recovery partition, among other things.
[*]Plugging the phone into a different USB port and clicking 'Try Again' is often sufficient to proceed.
[*]If you have a USB hub or a docking station, try the installation without it. Unplug from the hub or docking station completely.
[*]If you get this repeatedly at different stages of the install, you almost certainly have a bad USB cable.
[*]If the installer doesn't detect your device after a reboot, and it's stuck in download mode, it's generally safe to hold down power or remove the battery (if the phone allows it) to power the phone off. You may attempt the installation again, it may be successful.

I changed the USB port, and now the installer status bar seems to be moving again. :playful:
Installed -- and booting ! :-)
