Doubt regarding new BSNL FTTH connection

@partymonger It's alright, basic device. I never used the wireless or any other feature of that Netlink device. If you don't need wireless or voice features, I'd say get the basic wired ONT and use a separate wireless router.

I don't use it now, I switched to a basic Huawei EPON ONT which I got off AliExpress -- Netlink Bridge Mode without port / mac reset | BSNL FTTH Bharat Fiber Broadband

@varkey will Huawei HG8010H ONT work with BSNL FTTH directly?
I have one lying around which I purchased 1.5 years ago but gave up on using it as local BSNL team didn't knew how to set it up.

Currently have Huawei EchoLife HG850a ONT

BSNL FTTH cannot be generalised, so it depends on whether you are on EPON or GPON. HG8010H is an EPON model, so if you are on EPON it will work. I am using it just fine.

Secondly, its a bridge only model, you'd need to configure the PPPoE config etc on your main router.

So I guess HG8010H won't work with this connection.

Yes doing same with current ONT but as it has 100Mbps port, It goes to 92Mbps max speed.

@Rajneesh Rana Yeah looks like you are on GPON in that case. HG8310M is the equivalent GPON model if you are interested.
