Download speed reduced!!!!

This August i booked by Connection and till yesterday the speed was 2mbps(download) but today i experienced that speed was very slow both surfing and downloading and i checked in the modem status and sadly it was showing 256kbps(both upload and download),Therefore, guys any ideas tips or tricks to get the old good speed back of 2mbps from MTNL.any type of suggestions and help with be appreciated:huh:

You are one 256Kbps unlimited plan rite? the maximum speed you will get as per your plan is 256kbps and download speed will be around 27KBps...U were getting 2 mbps due to laziness of MTNL officials,they were only supposed to give u 256kbps..U have to stick with the speed u r having..For better speeds you may think about migrating to 512Kbps unlimited for 1299 bucks or some Volume based plans which provide 2 mbps speed.:cool2:

i would like to go for 512 UL but rite now i cant afford it..and ya!i dont think so i will need 500 free calls..it would have been great if they give 512 UL for around 900 Rs without any calls.
