Hi...guys, What is the effect on battery life on continues using edge, web browsing & mobile office( Internet on pc)...???

battery life depends on type of battery and charging cycle and also temperature.mostly nickle or lithium batteries are used. both have different characteristics.like li batteries lose life at high temperature or at full charge. its advisable to keep them at as low temp as possible or at 40% charge.u may read wiki. for details

When you are using Edge/Gprs, it uses the almost the same amount of battery as if you are on voice call, so battery goes down pretty fast depending upon the cell phone and also type of battery..............

:O,I just got an original BP-5L Li POLYMER Ion battery, and it cost me a bundle.
Thanks for telling me ,coz I used to keep my cell phone batteries at 100% charge as much as possible,...........will try and lower my recharge cycles to keep them at 40% now

the best way to keep the batteries in good shape is to recharge them as few times as possible. if it's possible charge fully in one go.

Yes charge when it shows "Battery Low" and charge till it says "Battery Full", helps improve battery life and performance...........

Thanks Guys,I think I now know how I killed my last battery.Hopefully this one will be worth the 2.5k I spent and last a long long time :)

incase of mobiles, almost all models have specic types of batteries sointerchanging Ni-Mh and Li-Poly Ion isn't an option available to us :(

battery life depends upon your usage and temperature.charge when it shows "Battery Low" and charge till "Battery Full", helps improve battery life and performance...there was no problem in using the gprs network:yahoo:
