Extremely slow surfing speed on MTNL Broadband

any suggestions for torrent speed... and even the international ping is too slow

Changing DNS is an eye wash really. MTNL DNS's are the best because they provide lowest response time and even if you change to google dns, it routes through your ISP only.

But changing to google DNS improved the results drastically for me.
Speedtest,IGN,Twitter,Bookmyshow didn't load at all, and surfing speed suffered on other websites too. Though I agree that default DNS is the best if it's working properly.

Major problem is with facebook. It opens 1/4th of the window!

GO to your modem/router page and post a screenshot of things like line attenuation, downstream rate, upstream rate. Your modem page must be accessible via 192.168.1.1 and user name password- admin and admin.

Hmm, seems that your speed problems are from server end. Nothing wrong in your line stats.
