you do realize that a phone purchased online would still have a bill with a date from which your warranty is applicable?

you are not buying from the grey market. flipkart is a proper authorized store!

and i assume that all your purchases would be connected to your flipkart account and you would get the ability to access them anytime you want to :|

@admin - I agree. You buy it online or at a store, if a bill has a portion of VAT then this is sufficient to claim warranty. Univercell, mobile store, sangita are famous mobile retailers and Mobile service centre people are aware that these dealers sell mobiles with Bill & warranty.Even Adexmart people said they would provide a proper bill indicating tax. Hence i am tempted to buy it @ 27K. Will speak to flipkart people for some discounts. Lets see.

Bada OS 1.2

No thanks. :P

i still do not get it why samsung price their android phones above wave phones.

they get android for free. bada is their own platform. hardware specifications is usually similar.

charging a premium for android sucks on their part.

I got mine two weeks back for 27500 in ncr region in a shop.was quoting 28, but he is my old retailer and for 5 years now I buy from him only so......i think price was fine at that timeSent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk

@admin I agree to your point about pricing android phones on a higher side compared to wave. I feel that Android phones can be customized better or rather extensively compared to a Bada OS phone. Also there are many apps available for Android. They know their android phones gonna outsell Bada phones. Hence i fell higher pricing for Android phones.

Major difference between Wave and Wave II is screen quality and size. Wave II has got a super LCD screen of size 3.7 Inch
The contrast ratio of S Amoled is so good that it cannot be compared to S LCD of Wave II. You can check out the difference at

in some markets samsung cut costs and uses the cheaper display on Galaxy s too (from reports i heard in engadget). super amoled is in shortage and most people do not care.

in fact, htc did something similar with the later units of nexus one. they used something called super lcd instead of what was used originally.

and the different in price is around 10K right? 18K vs. 28K?

i dont understand the point of BADA OS, mainly because i believe the lack of support regarding apps and when there are better options available. As mentioned Super LCD phones cost less, thats what Sammy plans to do with the Nexus S in US it will be S AMOLED in certain parts of europe it will be S LCD, and almost whole of Asia S LCD, to make phones cheaper and substitute the shortage of S AMOLED.
