Guys i want to buy a smartphone for myself in the month of may(bday :pleasantry: ). Kindly suggest whether i should go for android(nexus 5) or iOS(i5s). Actually i am more inclined towards iPhone, would also like to wait if new one is releasing in June. But i am impressed by Nexus 5. Confused between the two. I dont think its a point to invest 15k more for a fingerprint scanner n few features. But atlast iphone is an iphone. So can anyone suggest which one is better of the two? And i dont want any other options, Sony, sammy, etc. My current phone is Desire SV.
Thank You

What was the last HTC phone you owned? HTC Desire?
Desire SV..had got this phone cuz they had mentioned that they would update it to 4.1, but they didnt, plus it has its own kind of probs.

That's the thing. A lot has changed in the last year or so. Ever since the launch of the Google Play Edition models.Anyways. HTC is in massive trouble. I would not recommend them today in any case. The company could get acquired by a larger player in the coming months if not years. They just killed themselves by focusing on high end devices and not coming up with better budget models.Sony has some great Android models too. You can also consider a Moto G as it costs like 25% of the basic iPhone 5s. In any case, if you are willing to spend Rs. 50k+ on a phone, you cannot go wrong with iPhone 5s.

Doesn't the 5s sell at ~50k, how would they price the 6 at a premium?
Things changed last year. Earlier the latest gen iPhone costed 45/50/55.They rebranded iPhone 5 as iPhone 5c and launched it at 42. The cheapest latest gen model got priced at 52 with the top end model costing 72.Now, I am not sure that they can get any higher with the next generation model. But Apple started charging a lot more for their phones from last year.

I've been using my ip4 for 3 years now. Happy with it. Cost me a bomb, so cannot switch easily either. Got the iPad 1 too and it's still pretty functional...

If you have three more months... Well... You are asking the wrong question. You need to ask... Should I buy the iPhone 6 or Galaxy S5 or Note 4 or HTC Two (!). Nexus 5 should be out of the picture by that time.

Well my ip4 is alive and kicking on iOS 7.0.4It's not slow as made out here and I have no complaints. It's aging gracefully, atleast for me. My wife is also fine with hers. Bought together. I keep it about half full in terms of storage and religiously close apps when not in use... Use it quite a bit through the day, battery lasts one day. Gotta charge it every night.
