Uniqueness. I want google to release something exceptional in the hardware side before any other manufacturer could (especially Samsung.) Samsung already have 3 GB RAM.
When Samsung comeup with a 4 GB device. Nexus 6 might have 3 GB ram with a price tag below 40k. The crowd will run after it because it is Nexus.
But Google's Moto already started a new business model for phone mkt. So you might not need to upgrade the phone in the future. But just the parts ...
