Recently I was editing photos from Camera folder in Google Photos. After done editing and saving, I couldn't find saved photo. I tried like 10-15 times. Then I read online that edited photos are saved in new folder PhotosEditor. Was this always like this, because earlier when I edited photos, it saved in same folder. Yesterday when I edited Screenshot, it got saved in same folder, but Camera photos are saved in new folder.
ok. no idea about how photos are handled when they are not synced online.
picasa used to create folder and hide originals inside it when you edited images. this allowed picasa to restore images if you wanted to at a later stage.
i guess google photos is doing something similar.
on related note... you should consider using a regular photos app if you have no interest in syncing photos to google photos.
google photos is terrible as a photo app for locally stored photos!
What is regular Photo app? Any 3rd party app?
Since I am having Moto Z Play, and Moto generally relies on Google apps for most functions so they dont have any other app for Media/Photos like Samsung does.
sadly there is no perfect app that i can recommend. Piktures - Beautiful Gallery - Apps on Google Play is something that i used.
try out a few apps and see if something interests you and has more usability than google photos for you?
i do not like google photos as a local gallery app because folders are sort of hidden away.
