Help Me in Configuring WAG54G2 with BSNL Connection.

So, logged into hyd pc via teamviewer. and checked the IP Address. assigned.Note: Today i think my father got disconnected when the internet was on. One cannot connect to router page settings. if connected via bridgemode)What should be my next step.Should i ask my father to disconnect from the dailer and type 192.168.1.1 and check whether it opens the router page or not?

if u can access your router as essbebe said then fine otherwise ask someone else to do it at your place. et me know if u need any more help.



edit: u wont be able to access the router in bridge mode. so do what i said

use a pen/pencil for 3-4 seconds on the reset switch. then wait for some time. the router will give u some ip address. it WONT show limited connectivity & u will be able to access the router page & set it in PPPoE mode

Luckily the dialer connection was working.

Present problem : Linksys modem/wifi router.
Since neither your dad or brother ( at Hyderabad)
can change the settings in the BSNL wifi router

Solution :
Try to set "Always on" at HYDERABAD
or
You try to set the "ALWAYS ON" connection from TOKYO.

Para two: The Dynamic IP is different.
You are trying to access Himayatnagar (when your dad is in
say 210, first street !)

MY dynamic IP now is 59.92.15.xxx (* SAY 210, HIMAYTNAGAR)
What is my IP address? Show my IP address. IP Tracer & IP Locator.
This is the IP your dad should report to you.
Then when you enter this ip, message will appear. ( using FireFox browser)

@rachit,I think you are right. I tried again accessing 192.168.1.1 from hyd pc by connecting via team viewr. Its not working. I wish i was there. i would have immediately reset the pin then wwould have gone to router settings page and set it to PPPoe. It is really strange that even after paying for connectoin. we have to struglle like this. BSNL guy should have done PPPoe. not sure whether he went to router settings or not. I should have used some screen recorder s/w and should aksed my brother to start it before that guy comes so that i can record all the things what he did.@essbebe,Dad again disconnected and connected. Disconnect Beam Cable connection. from ethernet port of computer.
ONLY BSNL Rj45 to be connected.
YOU cannot have a STATIC IP from BSNL.
Then try from your end.

confirm this is for BSNL RJ45 input.

Sorry for confusing you. but right now beam cable is not at all connected. only one calbe is connected which is from router(BSNL)

Check the below screen shot. you can see on the right. shows the Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter. it shows with exclamation but shows the packets movements. and see it is connected from last 3 hrs. onthe right see properties and in the backgrould i tried typign url but doesn't open

Hope this helps. i want it to always on. once that is done will do wireless setup.

No need to panic go to network connections and change the Local Area Connection ip address to 192.168.1.2 subnet mask will be taken automatically, give default gateway 192.168.1.1 and DNS servers give 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 check the link if you want any further help on changing ip address for your LAN. It will also solve the problem of limited connectivity you have. After this open 192.168.1.1 it should work.

Then follow my above steps for changing to PPPoE.
