Help required!!

I had a tata bb and it almost been a yr since im using dataone with ut300r2u.currently im using a xavi x7721r+ modem with the phone line for dataone as i successfully configured it but the wan or the the dsl link keeps going off and keeps coming on.pls can u help me on this.Im unhappy with the ut300r2u as it gets heated up too quickly and the dsl goes off ethernet starts flashing very fast.

You can set it up in bridge mode also. In that case you have to use a dialler from the desktop.

try switching your adsl and telephone lines. make sure there is no disturbance in the telephone line.

Are you using a splitter ?
Try switching your adsl and telephone lines.
make sure there is no disturbance in the telephone line.
Better to get a new splitter . Above advice technically not correct as the freq filters inside splitter are different.

probably not a problem with your splitter.. incase you have telephones connected before the splitter , it can cause such problems,..make sure there are no telephones connected before the splitter.. direct cable from pole to splitter and then connect telephones after splitter

essbee since you know more about technology it would be better to take advice from you. I was having the same problem so I did what I suggested and it solved my problem.

Glad to note that it is working for you. But I cannot suggest it.
It is for the user to decide try any suggestion, at his OWN RISK.
What every ISP and other technical experts suggest, I normally refer by doing a Google search, and give the source here if needed.
Main concern : not to damage your modem/computer etc .
from DC to 3.4 kHz
to the telephone instrument.

This is where the Filter / Splitter comes in. The ADSL POTS Splitter / filter allows taking the full advantage of the 1.1MHz copper line frequency spectrum, by stopping the telephone and ADSL systems from interfering with each other. An ADSL filter is normally a small [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]plastic [COLOR=blue ! important]box[/color][/color][/color] with a short lead that plugs into your phone socket and two outputs, one for your ADSL Modem and another for a telephone. Some filters have only one telephone output in them. ADSL filter select the band of frequencies for each of the outputs, phone or ADSL, and send just the correct band to the appropriate socket. The phone output gets only telephone frequencies (from DC to 3.4 kHz) and the ADSL output gets the higher freuquencies well (above 25 kHz).
