@SG_curiosity

Jio Fiber: Highest Quality of Stuff but Poorest Implementation (they setup the box and line for months and doesn't maintain it).

Airtel Copper Line (ADSL / VDSL): Poorest Quality of Stuff but Awesome Implementation and Maintenance.

Airtel Fiber: Best Quality of Implementation and Maintenance.

Hathway: Okayish Quality and Okayish Maintenance. (Backend is messed up if that concerns you).

Won't comment on Excitel.

I can't comment on ACT or Spectra since I have not used them and they are neither present in my area.

P.S.: I don't have Photos to show since it's so much messed up on the poles (like hundreds of wires) that you can't even point out which ISP is it (Except for Jio since they have branding on every thing).

May the best one survive.... But the above tweet seems to be a cheap tactic....... """" Where is Billu cutting the Fibre""""
Vice-Versa Billu may cut his own cable and blame Jio for the same......

These LCO's will eventually realise that they can't fight RIL.
Hmmm... this might not be piece of Cake For RIL....... RIL is actually going to deliver through LCO's......... So RIL will not Axe their own feet..... All in all this would be nice lesson to RIL in coming days...... and their is a fair chance that RIL back out and shelve this business.... RIL will never enter a non-profit making business and here I don't see profit to sustain both LCO and RIL...... LCO won't work for free and RIL won't work without profit....... and here they can not even back out and let Govt. bear losses like Metro Airport Expressline......

This is going to be a lot of fun to watch......

earlier with mtnl cables where it would pass through not so good areas petty criminals would steal it for copper and it was all underground. Few years ago I think communication of some embassy or some govt office was also affected.

Now atleast no one steal cables.

For jio test would be how quickly they can restore this.

I've have first hand experience of these cable cutting tactics of LCOs.
My local LCO's goons drove out a big player like ACT from my locality.
I think that the black box is passive optical splitter.

Yeah, Wire Cutting is a poor practice. Almost every area has this issue. All these small ISPs like Hathway (now they have stopped for a good time now since their buyout) and Excitel.

But, What I know is that Airtel and Reliance are too big for these LCOs to fight against.

They have enough money just to install new wiring compared to what small LCO does is adding joints and joints in the wire.

Example: Hathway and Excitel charges Rs. 500 for Re-Wiring and First Time Wiring as minimum.

Airtel charges no fee and you can have two re-wiring per month for free. They also don't charge for the modem. (Which I think Jio will have the same case since they are producing their wire in-house just like Airtel).

(This is just an example of how big corporate have better budgets to fight against wire cutting).

Well...... we all need to be realistic..... those MTNL days.... they were earning money.... that is why, they could afford stealing/ losses...... there were just 2 players MTNL & Airtel.... they were doing business on their own terms.......

That is not the case now.....

Jio might get the best equipment but they need huge manpower for installations/ maintenance & customer service..... and here they will get a setback.... LCO would not offer services for free...... Jio would never hire paid executives for this... which would ultimately result in deficiency of service and a substandard experience.....

And talking about the deep pockets of Jio & Airtel....... rest assured, nothing will be free..... Are they offering free telephone instruments?

They are offering free calls just because there is no additional cost to them.

cheaper and effective solution on wire cutting would be to hire people to do lobbying in police stations

for Delhi I can confirm jab upar se danda aata hai toh Delhi police Scotland yard ban jaati hai :p

Is it possible they have abandoned the area which has Reliance Jio Wires and Boxes installed for many months but no one has come to activate them or launch Jio in that area?

Nope, they don’t usually run fibre without analysing the area. They will make the area live but after some time.

Aur kitna time chahiye inhe? I seriously want to get rid of shit isp I use.
