how much time does it take to activate prepaid sim card

hi..just got a new airtel sim card few hrs back was wondering how much time will it take to activate the card also i recharged with 50 buks as I dont think I will use this card that much so will I get that 6months validity or I need to recharge more thx :imwink:

haha.....ya it should have been hrs...but waiting felt like 12yrs...i had to call the guy like IDK maybe 20 times or so and now finally he has activated the sim at 2pm jeez..... btw now wondering what all balance recharge needs to be done to keep this prepaid sim active...

bro..you need to go for validity recharge(plan) without that you num will not be activated fully after that you can go for main balance amount of your wish. I suffered a lot because of this validity recharge.

with the sim I got some 4 yrs validity. But there some recharge that needs to be done every 6months I think its 200 buks...!

yup thts how it should have been but he did nt activate it fr some reason only known to him.....
