If you are using WindowsXP disable auto updates.
Other programs like Antivirus updates check whether auto selected.
Uncheck all programs appearing in Taskbar ( other than AV or Firewall).
Check daily your usage.

Hope you used a 14digitportal Id and password "password' obtained from
Exchange. to access BSNL - Broadband Account Management
for new bsnl user ip 117.xx.xx.xx
If you are an old Dataone user with Ip 59.xx.xx.xx
http://10.240.0.195/webLogin.jsp
Please try this program . useful to all bsnl users now.

2. To find out what was downloaded in your computer, you have to see your temporary internet files. to access them use this program.

This program actually deletes all the old temp files. ( showing in MB) But you can see the list of files before selecting "delete" the files.
3. What is your tariff plan? and modem used ?

Get Firefox. Install adblock and flashblock extensions. They will stop a lot of junk from loading automatically.

I too face similar problem. I have tried the suggested solutions, but couldn't identify the source.I am using WA3002G4 in router mode. I would like to know if it is possible to switch-on/switch-off this via PC rather than using the button on modem. This way I can schedule my modem to switch on only when required (2 AM - 8AM) and hence avoid unnecessary bandwidth consumption. Basicaly, I want a bridge kind on connection on a router. Is it possible?
