i was using SP3 when i experienced this problem & as far as i know i think this problem is due to bsnl dns servers handling requests for both portal links because whenever i try to open bbservice.bsnl.in using proxy site i get an error host name doesn't exist.most probably this older bsnl portal is on bsnl's own internal network & that's why you can't access it from certain dns servers.as for empty data if dns server is forwarding the request to an incorrect link on the web server on which this portal is located it will show empty values.to confirm this ask users to know which dns servers they are using while accessing this portal.i am using bsnl dns servers & right now whenever i try to open bbservice link i get redirected to new portal both in IE6 & FF3 while some days ago i could open both of them separately in IE6 & FF3.

yes i hav got tht portal id.i was using it till last month.......but dnt what happend now!!!!its giving error "invalid username or password"am i only getting the error???? or anyother is also getting the error

Just now on Airtel BB. Using OpenDNS. Beetel 110BX1 122.164.xx.xx
Both portals open normally and could access all details.with test ID for IP 117.xx.xx.xx ( mine 59.xx.xx.xx)
Question is : How the Profile page opens but details not shown ? in FF but in IE . ?
One Portal BSNL - Broadband Account Management
opens with a blank page with a menu on top.
The newer site BSNL Portal
opens with a welcome screen mentioning your name/DATE and menu in detail, with BSNL logo on top.
Update:0840 AM Please see this link. may be similar to present problem.

@essbebe,it may have something to do with how firefox maintains a dns cache but IE don't.this along with bsnl's dns servers being used at the moment seems to be the problem.i think dns servers for old users(59.x.x.x) & new users are different.also since you are using open dns servers this may also be the reason why you haven't faced this problem.maybe flushing windows dns cache can help(in command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns) can help @urpradhan or this-->firefox’s about:config has an option:network.dnsCacheEntries setting this to 0 will disable the cache and fallback to the local DNS cache & after this flush windows dns cache.
