Hi all, Is there are BSNL sponsored software to check my BB usage and intimate me quota left for that month. Checking repeatedly at their site is tedious. Let me know if any such programes exist. Thanks

Thanks essebbe. But i am worried if my login credentials would be stolen. Can i trust these softwares ?

Go to the concerned programs web sites and confirm yourself ! Even if you tell me your userID and Password or /and 14digit portal ID I cannot do anything , other than change your password!!by accessing the usage portal !Thousands of BSNL/MTNL users are using these programs for so many years. so far no report of misuse by these programs.

In Lucknow, U.P., I am unable to check my BSNL Broadband usage online since May 2008. I have JRE 6.0 update 7 enabled on my AMD 64 3200+ 2.01GHz home PC with Windows XP Professional 2002 SP2. I have AVG 8 Free Edition installed and cookies are enabled in my IE 6.

I took up broadband connection from BSNL-DataOne in November 2006 using BSNL provided Type II Huawei external modem for a startup 256 kb 1GB Usage. Being an earlier DataOne connection, I am not provided with the subsequent 12-14 digit User ID provided to BSNL Broadband connections.

Via http://www.dataone.in or http://10.241.0.195 or http://10.240.43.216 I am able to make it to the login page – /weblogin.jsp; however, on entering my userID and password (as provided at the time of giving connection in November 2006 and having not changed it since then) and clicking Login I am taken to http://10.241.0.195/myportal/myportaltimeout.jsp or http://10.240.43.216/myportal/myportaltimeout.jsp as the case maybe where it states “HINT Sorry. Operation timed out. For safety, please login again,” and I am back to where I started.

Further, due to this User ID or/and Password problem, I am unable to check mail in dataone.in at http://www.dataone.in/.

The above very user ID and password is via which I login into broadband where I have no problem. With this very User ID and password the systems people at the exchanges of Alambagh and Kaiserbagh are able to login to see my usage when requested by myself.

Where is the problem? Why does it check my ID at “Myportal,” which is meant for the 12-14 digit IDs? Why does not BSNL transfer all DataOne users to the new system by issuing us too 12-14 digit IDs so that we could log in via http://bbservice.bsnl.in/. I am not the only one in this area of Eldeco Colony under GSP Exchange not being able to see my usage online. There are others who took BSNL-DataOne’s connection and are facing the same problem from BSNL’s “SORRY! NO COMPLAINTS PLEASE” like it has existed for a working telephone or working broadband despite complaints at 198, 1500, 1800-424-1600, and even calling at the GSP exchange at 2440044, 2443544, or Kaiserbagh at 2613322

Since May 2008, I have contacted or tried to contact just about all in Lucknow including the SDO of my GSP Exchange off Raibareilly Road, and the DGM at Alambagh Exchange to have the problem sorted out. They have only passed the buck. I have sent e-mails to the public grievances officers of Lucknow and New Delhi at [email protected] and [email protected] and even to IT Cell, o/o of Chief General Manager, UP(East) Circle of BSNL at Hazratgang, Lucknow at [email protected]. However, I got no response whatsoever. I have even complained online at the BSNL’s Customer Portal: http://portal.bsnl.in/bsnlcca/login.aspx. The only feedback was from an A.K. Singh that the complaint had been attended to!!:@ The text of the e-mail of Mr. Singh is reproduced below:

14 digit portal ID is only for those who took connection from BSNL Broadband and not those who took earlier from BSNL-Dataone.

they have merged most of the users (i think all in kerala cirlce) to new servers from dataone.

My brother's office connection was in old account. merged to new one recently (two-three months back).

I think, people those who r having problem should talk to someone in bsnl who knows about broadband
