How can we , if you don't give the details of what is shown in the usage column ?
Have you exceeded your free usage by say around 200 MB ?

Give the summary from your portal usage page for the concerned month.

Someone in BSNL also reads this?! For last one month I repeat I month I am trying to contact BSNL to lodge complaint about non functioning modem- DSL light is on strike it seems. No response from BSNL Chandigarh-Mohali (line busy or they are busy); I know it is a Government agency but does someone know private operator who can repair my connection. Straw which proverbial camel's back tolerated before it broke, was the ultimate that if while to prove that I have not been using BSNL Broadband for a single minute in last 30 days. I get this response from the website at 3 AM in the morning too! Which says:"The connection has timed outThe server at 10.240.240.195 is taking too long to response* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments" Could someone suggest alternate broadband service in Mohali?

they dont even read the complaints what we give in their hands. So dont expect them to read this public forum. :)

Sir,
instead of calling them, why dont you visit the nearest exchange once and throw the modem to their face ? One month is too much ! Please write a written complaint and give to any Customer Service Center (CSC). Meanwhile, register a complaint @ 18004241600 or xxxx2198 (last four digit of your number should be replaced with 2198). Visit their office once, and it should be sorted out.

best of luck !

Welcome to broadbandforum.co
1.Please mention you modem model to check recheck settings.
2. Make sure the modem does not work in any other friend's house for any ISP.
3. If you have the time you can see the modem settings in this web site.
BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
4. If you could not access the usage page , ( it appears you are an old user of DATAONE with Ip 59.xx.xx.xx ) try alternate meters here. Or FireFox browser with Datafox extension.
https://broadband.forum/bsnl-broadband/22290-bsnl-broadband-billing-problems/#post184528 Page 7 post 69.
5. If you have purchased the modem outright BSNL may replace it within an year.
If on rental they replace after checking functioning.
6. Presume the connections from the ADSL splitter are correct.
Para two; It is always better to make a complaint to CC, whether they take action or not , but get a Docket number. Then you can ask for refund for non functioning telephone and or Broadband.

Para three :

I have recently (March 2008) got a BSNL Broadband connection Home 500 plan. I tried to check my usage from the bsnl website (Dataone WebMail) but everytime it gave me this error -
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
IBM_HTTP_Server/6.1.0.3 Apache/2.0.47 (Unix) PHP/5.2.1 Server at hosting.bsnl.in Port 80

I also cannot login to the dataone.in mail. however can login @bsnl.in.
Iam using Mozilla Firfox as my web browser and have also installed DATAFOX 1.0.1 and tried to monitor my usage but still could not login using DATAFOX after i typed in my username and password. Do i use the same username and password provided to me by BSNL (for my broadband connection) on Datafox too? If so. i did that too but could not login.I also tried logging in using the 'override default domain' option on Datafox for the following urls - 10.240.144.195, 10.240.240.195,10.240.89.199, 10.240.43.216, 10.240.16.195, 10.240.0.195. but all in vain. Cannot open these individual URLs on my browser. it always gives error.
I am a BSNL broadband subscriber from Aizawl, Mizoram. Is it because of that? Or there is something wrong with BSNL?

Can anyone help me solve my problem and suggest solutions on how i can check my broadband usage?
