the mail which you got is an automated message. I get the same kind of message from portal.bsnl.in !
As i mentioned, when they change id from dataone to bsnl, they are having huge problems in email ids.. You will be using the email id for years. Suddenly, you are getting an email id which is not of same username @bsnl.in. If it is previous username, you may kind of accept. But, if they give their own way with some numbers, who is going to accept.
My brother had a tough time. Initially it was masterbrain or something @dataone.in, later it changed to [email protected] . He got mad and started complaining from bottom to top by calling them(including Central ministry thru email). (believe me, if you send mail to central ministry, you get a quick response). Later, for his surprise, he got the same email in 4 days with @bsnl.in.
These mail ids which is shown in the websites are of no use. I never got any reply from them. Infact, portal.bsnl.in always used to correct the problems if i give complaints thru that.
Just go to the Area Manager's office or CROs office. (normally both will be @ same place). Visit personally than calling them. Calling them would hardly help for many.
