How to check BSNL Broadband Account Usage?

Can some one tell me where to check the bsnl data usage ? i have been trying but the page is not opening

What is the procedure to check usage in Shaplus Dataone software?

I don't understand the different options built inside the software.

What does "Exclude Non-free time usage" mean?

for exact chargeable usage "exclude free usage"

Which options should be selected, to find the exact usage?


To check how much hav you downloaded during the free time check "exclude non-free usage"


free usage : data downloaded during 2am-8am
non free : data downloaded during 8am-2am

so, total usage = free + non free

you will only be charged for non-free usage

Hi, I have taken Home 500 plan and it commissioned two weeks back. BSNL person installed the moded (type IV) and he said the connection will get activated in 24 hours. With customer care help, now i'm able to connect to the broadband (without giving any userid and password - i'm just wondering how it possible because my friend is using Airtel and he need to authenticate everytime to connect) and browse all the pages. Till now, I couldn't login to dataone account also. Its saying "invalid userid/password". My question is (1) whether the userid and password are required to connect the Broadband? and (2) How to change my password to check the broadband usage (or) to access the dataone page. I tried contacting Customer care for this problem, but no use. Please help me to solve this issues. Thanks in advance. hasbath

Q1. Your modem is set for always on mode. Your friend has bridge mode or dialup mode.
BSNL SHOULD tell you , your USER ID and password
Without this you cannot check your acct . Contact 1800 424 1600
Tell your telephone number etc.
Q2. Password to be changed in Modem. Don't TRY now.
Assuming your browser is IE6 try this program to check your usage

Hi essbebe, Thanks for your quick reply. I understand my router is configured as 'AUTO' mode for authentication. Regarding my second question, Customer Care people redirecting me to login in "dataone.in" website. But i'm getting invalid userid and password message. If my password is wrong, how can i able to access the internet? Also, please tell me the procedure to change the password in my router. Thanks,hasbath

You did not get a slip from BSNL showing ID and Password ?
Unless you get your ID and password , No progress can be made.
By accessing the modem, you can find your User ID .
Then ask CC to give the password.
DO NOT attempt if you are not sure.

Or save the MODEM PAGE IN FIREfOX/IE AND LOOK AT THE SOURCE CODE.
Password will appear in plain language.
