Excitel
Hi ,
I am using excitel broadband
I want to use my own router config
I have enquired for customer support but they denied me and close the tickets ....anyone know how to configure excitel to new router or did u use any XPON ONU devices to configure it if in case .....
Do reply me i would be waiting for thiz

thank you

@blackmyth1 Its impossible to use our own router instead of their router but we can tweak settings in our routers To make best of it as of now fo excitel users thats the solution!

I did put a Netlink GEPON ont in bridge mode after removing the excitel router, then dialed PPPoE from my AX23, which worked but only until mid-february, when the connection dropped and failed to authenticate, just placed the Excitel router back and It worked fine. I didn't have time to find WHY,..

and also Excitel didn't yet implement ipv6, they don't isolate the private ipv4 addresses they assign and we can reach other connections, and most of them have default passwords, so iykyk. I called their customer service and informed the same, they said someone from their technical dept will callback which they didn't bother to call back, so there's that.
There's a reason why excitel is cheap.

@justoneuser Bro its impossible to use our own router but we can use one as subrouter which im running currently and its working fine !! "
Basically we need ti change the dhcp server settings thats it
Now a days they implemented chap mode in ppoe and my router firmware was upgraded and it locked the username and password !!! :( if i reset my router its imposible to edit username and password ! until it done by their end aka mac release!
