i am expected to get the DOA letter from the local service center today. then i would have to contact buytheprice. not sure how much time it would take. but overall, i am freaking disappointed with the experience of buying a phone from the indian market. my previous two androids were purchased in USA. and i plan to try doing the same in the future.

hehe. well. what can i say. i made the choice of not waiting for S3 and getting an early unit of One X. i am going to suffer. :(

----------

s3 should be fantastic. we are looking at a quad core 2GHz processor with 2GB RAM. should cost pretty close to the iPhone 4S (40-45K) though samsung just might surprise you with its pricing!

i would then be looking at all the S3 owners with an eye of jealousy :(

Dont worry, get the S4 .. when it comes.

would depend upon how the next nexus turns out. and if i can get it from the international markets. :)

i am not really fond of the experience i have had with sense. would prefer to move back to a stock android device.

----------

htc essentially want people to love the sense experience so much that they would want to buy htc smartphones for sense itself.

too bad, i am barely able to tolerate the bullcrap sense is especially when compared to android ics edition. they are living in a dream world. and i as a consumer do not agree with their 'sense'ibility.

I would say their "Sense" is more targetted at the not really mobile-techie-oriented community.... I know folks who are happy with TouchWiz :| ... Sense to me, is slightly better.

heh. from what i see, these skins are making things complicated for regular users. if they switch from samsung touchwiz to htc sense, it is a totally difference user experience which they have to adapt to. companies believe that consumers would stick to their future models because they get used to their customized experience. what an evil thing to do to the android user experience.

True that, and also there would be nothing to separate two phones except physical device looks, in case two similarly specification rival phones are in the market. They expect to user to choose theirs because of - in their words a "richer"/"smoother" user experience using their sense/touchwiz/blur/timescape/waveshare & what not.

ok. send the documents to buytheprice. they are going to arrange for the pickup before sending me a new unit. i would keep you posted how it turns out. i have requested a black colored unit this time around. hoping that it would be luckier for me :P
