zagg for one x cost me around 1600 including shipping. if you are not an idiot like me, gadgetshieldz is available for around rs. 500 in the local market. i think fommy had it on sale for the one x. you can go for that too.

Using dialpad, dial *#*#4636#*#*, this will take you to hidden service menu. Select whichever radio band you want from there. Sense UI based HTC phones have a bit more battery consumption. If you aren't too interested in Sense 4.0 you can flash it with stock AOKP ROM later.

1. I was going to point that out.2. Saw that after I visited the thread 3. Updates are OTA Anyway, not worth switching to as of now. If you were to restore your phone to its original state via nandroid, would you still stand to loose your warranty ?

CyanogenMod updates are OTA? I thought you had to update manually every time there was a new build released. I think. HTC is shipping all of their phones locked. They do provide a way to unlock your phone manually but you have to give them your device details so the warranty is voided on the device right then. I am not sure how easy or tough it is to unofficially unlock the phone. I have never rooted or installed a custom ROM on any of the Android devices I have owned... And such releases rarely come with complete guides. So, well... I have no idea what to do and how to do This release does not support camera yet, which is the most important part of the phone for me So, it is useless in any case.

Yes, most builds can be updated OTA, you do have to flash the zip once the update is downloaded, your data remains intact, minor annoyance.Ah, now I remember, htc bootloaders are locked by default. htcdev.com, is run by htc, and can be used to officially unlocked, but as you rightly pointed out, you'll loose your warranty. Most releases have very detailed documentation ( how tos and stuff, not sure what you mean here)With the advent of htc dev, I guess most devs have stopped working on other ways to unlock the bootloader (if it is possible at all, no idea about this).Heh, CM9 supports only camera preview for my phone as of now, I take photos using the screenshot tool

Yes, the preview works, but I can't capture the photo. So, I fire up the camera, it shows the preview on the screen, and I screenshot it . Crop out the camera controls and done
