First test is expected to draw unless ricky ponting declares soon and puts india into bat before lunch or just after lunch. i used to admire this quality in steve waugh, he trusted in bowlers and why not he had the best 3 - gillespie, mcgrath and shane warneLets see whether ponting does the same, yeah he may declare but will he go for the kill?

steve waugh was awesome. ponting has achieved much more but waugh was brilliant as the captain of the australian cricket team. i just checked the scores. the match indeed looks towards going for a draw. australia does not have the bowling strength to bowl out indian batting lineup within a day! unless of course, the indian team does the regular and crashes like the american economy.heh. just noticed. both zaheer khan and harbhajan singh scored half centuries in the india's first inning! awesome.

if ponting takes a bold step and declares within an hr then i think India will collapse, tail enders cant perform twice in a test.

awesome but shame, that top 2 scorers are both bowlers in the first innings of batting itself. BTW, there is history, that indian batsmen come out stronger after humiliating initial performance. Lets see ...

haha, indian batsmen like to get humiliated. but they hardly perform better than other team, max they do is be at par with them.btw india already lost 3 wkt for 87 chasing 299 (yes not even 300) but they are playing so slow that ponting will never feel pressure and can keep attacking without being worried abt losing the match.

Still Sachin needs 15 runs to beat Lara's record i hope he does it in this match itself with style...........

I think now the test is clearly heading for a draw unless there is dramatic collapse happens for india..........

If the match ends in a draw i think the MOM should be given to Zaheer Khan.........

This two shud stick to wicket else one wicket and there cud be huge collapse as it has happened many a times.MOM mostly wud go to Hussey.

I would give it to zaheer for his 5 wicket haul and also for his batting too..........if its not given to Zaheer then it should go to ponting .......:cool2:
