Hi,I switched to the 750+ Unlimited plan about a month ago, and am now experiencing low speeds. I previously had the 250 Home Plan and used to get good download speeds. Firefox Download Manager and the Download Accelerator Plus used to show download speeds of ~200 kiloBYTES per sec.But after I switched to the Unlimited plan, this has reduced to ~20-25 kilobytes per sec. I've got the Linksys WAG200G Wireless ADSL Gateway (ADSL modem + wireless router). It shows the ADSL link speed to be ~12.5Mega bits per sec (please note: bits and bytes, link speed and download speeds are different) with both plans.I called the BSNL helpline, and the lady there gave me the LAN settings (a static IP address, and DNS addresses) but there's no change...This speed is fine for normal browsing but downloading files is a pain in the neck.Any ideas? Thanks.

So, what kinda speeds are you expecting from that Home 750+ plan? That plan promises ~30 KBps speed and you are getting around ~25. So, I don't see any problem here.

@iChaitanyaWell, every BSNL plan states a MINIMUM speed of 256kbps (thats the definition of broadband according to TRAI) and I'm not even getting that much consistently... Anyway, they said that speed was based on 'technical feasibility', which is just legal jargon for distance from the nearest telephone exchange. Since I live within a few hundred meters from the exchange and I got good speeds before, I think I should follow it up. What speeds do you get?

@sk_ameyBSNL has promised 256 kbps and you say uou are getting 25 KBps. Now this is the same.256 kilo bits per second divided by 8 you get 32 Kilo Bytes per second.you should get the speed somewhere between 25 to 30 KBps.
