Plan: 1 Gbps
Real-world speed: ~800 Mbps download / ~950 Mbps upload
Router: Mikrotik
Duration: 18 months of usage
Overall Experience
I’ve been using this ISP for about 1.5 years on their 1 Gbps fiber plan. Speeds are reliable, uploads are excellent, and everyday tasks like remote work, video calls, streaming, and VoWiFi run smoothly once properly configured.
Speed & Reliability
The main drawback is that the technical team does not know about MTU at all, and they assume the default is always 1500, which is incorrect for this connection. Because of this, several websites and apps were failing to load properly, such as:
I diagnosed the problem myself (with help from ChatGPT) and found that the correct MTU needs to be around 1380. After applying that MTU, all previously broken services started working properly, including VoWiFi.
Field Support
The on-site technician was polite, but his work is limited to fiber splicing and power-level checks. He is not trained for network troubleshooting, so there was nothing he could do at his level.
