Hi Vijay,
Its true that these plans are not for Wimax users. These plans are for Reliance Wireline broadnet subscriber. Why dont you shift to Reliance wireline if you want cheaper plans. Actually Wimax is a costly technology and that is why their are no plans with low rental commitment as it would not be profitable for Service providers. Better opt for Wireline services for more stability and economical plans.

New plans updated in Reliance Website:

Link: Welcome to Reliance Communications

But when contacted the customer care they say it is not for WiMax users.

i am planing to take reliance wired brodband connetion in BTM 2nd stage, bangalore. So for that i went to reliance world in forum mall for inquiry, but they politely showed me door saying they take care for only wireless net connect (yes i know WTF). I also filled online inquiry form for same but nobody contacted me. Can anybody help me and give some no or address of outlet to get connection. Before taking connection i am facing so much problem what will happen after taking connection :o

Am from Marathalli, and it took me almost 1 month to get the connection, That too after making a payement of 500/- Go with Airtel / BSNL mate !

well... i am finally giving up my Wimax connection, Airtel is starting their services in our society this week...when i called to disconnect my reliance connection, they tried to convince me to stay by telling me that they are going to introduce new plans in 10 days time.... of course i refused... but maybe this news may be useful to other subscribers....AC

Maybe they are doing it just to make you stay? Did you tell them you were taking Airtel instead?

oh yes... i did tell them that i am moving to airtel, and the reason being better plans... that is when they said if i wait for another 10 days, they are announcing new plans with new prices... my response was "Thanks, but NO THANKS"... what did not happen in the past year, cannot possible change in the next 10 days... so good bye Reliance, disconnection will be effective tomorrow hopefully.

hehe. almost every service provider would try to retain you with false (or true) promises. in some cases, you might be offered special packages that are designed to retain leaving customers.

i did ask them what they were planning, and all i got was wait for 10 days and we have interesting plans coming up... this is my first post on an Airtel Connection
