MTNL's ED should think twice before making announcements of UL @ sundays. Now, the situation is as such that we are not even getting a minimal of 256KBPS as suggested by TRAI lol

MTNL starts to provide more upload speeds rather than download

i also was getting 320 kbps proper speeds earlier
now getting 280kbps speed after fundays

I am really disappointed with all this speed ups and down going on currently.Not only the net has become unstable but also their are frequent disconnections due to they messing up.I do get the funday 2mbps speeds. Speeds were 2mbps even on last sunday of march.But the 2mbps is really not 2mbps.Its nearly around 1.8 to 1.9 (Max 195 to 205KBps insted of 220 to 225KBps)I am on 999 1mbps plan and use to get max speeds (130KBps max) but now this speed has reduced to 115KBPS which has now frustrated me a lot.And also the speed is not at all constant.I just wish that MTNL stoops this nuisance as soon as possible and better give us the speeds we pay for.Before all this the net was perfectly stable and I cant remember last time it had disconnected...

earlier they had sync the speed adding 20% to the promised speed so u get actual speed by normal data speed loss.now softwares take charge of speeds. babus have forgotten to add 20% buffer this time.

this instability is because they have STUPIDLY upgraded everyone's upload sync rate to 1024kbps, without doing any homework.

at this sync rate, those who are at some distance from exchange will face frequent disconnections.

higher the upload speed lower the stability.

try changing ur modulation to G.Dmt (i.e. disable rest)...that shud give some stability.
