I bought a D-Link 2520u. Set it up according to what the disk made me.
Any specific settings I need to change? Everything is working normally as of now.

@Ardzard, If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
But optimization is a geek's birthright. So, can you post your adsl line stats? And what modulation?

There. Your line is pretty bad. Might want to get it fixed.

Any parallel connections? Splitter installed?
Hey,
@x720: So the setup is such that I have connected phone line in one room “via the splitter” and router directly in the line at another location (to improve the range throughout the house).
P.s. Internet doesn’t connect if I don’t use splitter for the phone; so its just phone in that splitter.

Change modulation to ADSL2+ Annex A/M

After chging post stats page again
@PanZeR008: I see that Annex M is already enabled. http://pbrd.co/1iJzmrO
Can you pls point what exactly needs to be set here?
Thanks guys.

Yep, apart from doing what panzer has suggested. Get another splitter for the modem/router if stats don't improve.

Nothing seems to be helping :(

I have done what you guys have suggested.
- ADSL2+ and Annex M ticked
- Used another splitter for the router
- I have also checked the stats after connecting the router at same place where phone is

Existing location after ADSL change --- http://pbrd.co/1sPVQf5
Phone’s location --- http://pbrd.co/1sPVYeD

What could be the reason?

Your line is bad. Either switch to 4mbps plan or complain to get the wiring fixed. I'm guessing, an apartment? Is the internal wiring very old? Is the mtnl junction box in your building damaged?

Yup..... tht line is bad...... try to chg ur line frm building junction box to ur splitter..... dont use the internal wiring of the flat....
Also how far r u frm xchg??...... Take 8Mbps only if ur at max 1.5Km frm xchg....
frm ur current stats u should only use 2Mbps plans..... but try 4Mbps first as x720 suggested.....
