MTNL Broadband: 8mbps Plans

Finally doing some real downloading on my 8Mbps1690 plan...... with almost 65GB FUP remaining with 10days to go......


After watching avg speeds of 200-210KBps for over 5yrs...... this is so nice..... 800KBps+ speeds & zero disconnects.......
I think with all the bashing we give MTNL....... a Thank You is also required sometimes(No Panzer bashing now pls)......

First make sure your plan shows up as 1750 in register.mtnl.net.in portal, If yes then feel free to go over your download limit as you will still get around 192 kBps post FUP.
 
after contemplating vdsl vs adsl 8 mbps i have decided to go for 8mbps for 2 reasons a) no extra cost as i already have adsl connection B) b) exchange ppl told me vdsl router out of stock and might take a month or two. will post once i get my 8mbps connection going.
 
Can anyone suggest good wifi-modems for ADSL2+ 8MBPS with good coverage ?? I saw D -Link DSL-2750U on flipkart not sure if its good enough?

Bandwidth Control(IP QoS) (very useful now on 8Mbps by restricting all other users at home to 1.5-2Mbps)
Plus its a 2013 model so wont get outdated quickly with FW update support.
