Post screenshots of your ADSL stats along with your queries.

guys..speed got updated ..getting speed upto 6.95Mbps.. Is there anything I should do to further improve speed or do you guys too get speed in 6.95-7.10Mbps speed range??
Sync rate must be 8192k, as long as you're happy with it, let it be. I too get 7.2mbps on average.

If you are synced at 8192 kbps, then actual speed will be 6.5-7.3 Mbps. Can't do much. ADSL has 15% loss in speed. But if you are synced at 10240, you will get full 8 Mbps speeds.

my ping stats...bloody disgusting...cant wait to see the manager on Monday...

today again I tried all options with the replaced(new) TP-Link W8968 modem but same problem, wan connection just doesnt seem to connect, it just freezes on connecting. I checked the logs and i see ppp0 Failed to authenticate ourselves to peer
I am pretty sure username and password is right as i am using the same on my old router and it is connecting fine. Do we need to get something done from MTNL to allow our new device to connect? Not sure if they have any restriction.
Following is complete system log

I don't think so you would require mtnl help to set up the device... So you haven't been able to connect at all with the new router?

Nope not at all, I tried earlier thought problem was with modem went to the shop got it changed and tried again , same problem. The TP-Link support guy had even taken remote to my machine he too wasnt able to connect. It seems something related to MTNL now

@Suhel
Can u login to ur profile page on MTNL website with ur username/pwd???
Yes I am able to login no issues. I have manually put same password again in my old router its working fine. Its definately not a password issue.

I googled this and found a reply
See this line here
Failed to authenticate ourselves to peer

Not anything you can do. Not your router. Call Cust Svs and ask them if you have a session on - you should NOT have one - if there is one - ask them to reset that session.

Then off your router and when they tell you to ON it back again and try this a few times and you should have your connection back.

Wonder if I need to call mtnl to delete previous router session so that this router can connect.
