not a major improvement after changing the splitter and rj5 cable...
will monitor the connection at night when there are major issues... i will also call the bb incharge tomorrow to increase the speed profile to 6mbps... if all of this fails then will get a direct line from junction...
What were your previous stats?
Since your SNR margin is 21/26 you can easily get 8 Mbps speed.
Keep an eye on session history at register.mtnl.net.in and see if you are getting 10 hr sessions.

my previous stats were the same on the old mtnl modem as well... the srn is good during the day however it reduces as day passes... i am getting 10hr sessions on 4mbps profile...my latest stats

kartoonz can know if his SNR is dropping drastically with TP-Link 8817. If it is not dropping significantly, he can request for 8 mbps profile.
my stats with mtnl dabba... strangely today the srn hasnt dropped significantly!!! i guess this is due to new splitter..but too early to say that...yesterday at 1am at night my SRN was 13.3 on mtnl dabba...
i will post stats after using the tp link in a moment...
