But be careful..... Increasing speed profile leads to lower SNR.... Which leads to unstable connection....

Yes , that can happen , but is it even possible that MTNL guys would agree to give anyone beyond 8192 ? How can one convince them ?

well...... they dont mind giving even full ADSL2+ 24Mbps profile........ since they know tht u will still get only 8Mbps even on 24Mbps profile....... coz speed is controlled by ur port not the speed profile.......
Some of them r stubborn..... and wont give u the profile.... some dont mind...... so it depends on the person in-charge......

MTNL site has removed the line .. " These are promotional plans for 90 days effective 12-11-2013"... seems like they have regularized these new plans ..

Yes looks like. Changedetection :)

I think they should keep the FUP limits same and offer speeds as much as your line can handle (Up to 24 Mbps). That would please many.

No chance of getting this plan in delhi? MTNL is the only ISP in my area, and the best they offer is 4mbps @ Rs3600 :pissed-off:

Internet browsing is painfully slow since few days. Many timeouts, partial loading of web pages sucks. More importantly, browsing on wireless clients like iPad and Android phones is nearly impossible. Sites just keep loading forever. Anyone experiencing this?

Yup..on VDSL partial loading is happening. Also speed fluctuation..suddenly full speed, sudden drop. Had to refresh couple of times to load some sites. It's hit and miss for sure.
