MTNL Broadband: 8mbps Plans

Speedtest is showing I have around 4MBPS right now.
Torrents are running at 5-10kbps right now. My cell phone doesn't deliver any messages over WiFi. Weird.

Unrelated to previous post, I was having problems in opening webpages. Changed DNS, works fine now. MTNL DNS seems to go down quite often these days.

Right, my apologies. The earlier stats weren't good. These are pretty good to switch to 8mbps.

finally MTNL has upgraded plan to 8mbps. However, when I do speed test - it shows 1.8 mb download speed. Also when I login to modem, home page of it shows 2048 download and 509 upload... Damn -- I guess I need to do some more follow-up... any suggestions what else to check?
I have noticed that SNR is fluctuating quite a bit for download - it varies between 22 to 32... should there be any issues? For upload - it is quite stable at 18.5.

Wait till tomorrow, if the modem doesn't show 8192kbps down rare, call 12540 and request them to increase the same.

8.8.8.8 just because it is easier to type

Yes. Some people are facing issues on YouTube. What's your IP series?

me too facing same issues with YouTube, I am on 120.x.x.x

all other things are working pretty well. Also tried playing video from start TV website, they work fine.

Im also on SOTL series..facing strange issue with youtube & play store..though speedtest shows 7mbps(D) n 1.7mbps(U)speeds..while using youtube m getting 400-500kbps in task manager
